1.73 should be more than enough for normal, everyday tasks.

Are you a gamer? or planning on using Adobe PhotoShop or any heavy extensive program that uses alot of resources?

Go with a T2400 and drop the ram to 512mb instead of 1gb. That way you get a better processor and just buy some more ram aftermarket.

Is the T2250 a single or dual core processor?

T2250 is a dual core. Single cores start with T1XXX

1gb is the lowest he can go. Is there some reason why you didn't choose the 1.83?

Ok, I just did the SAME spec's with the 1.83mhz, price=$1616
So I dropped the TV Tuner and price is $1486 spec'ed exaclty as above.
Yea I will be gaming, and I cannot drop my RAM--the lowest available today is 1gig.
    I will occasionally use photoshop.

I really want to get this done, but if a better deal will surface, I will scratch this tonight and wait.

Probably there won't be a better deal than that. I would just get that. If anything comes up better this week, you can always cancel it and reorder your system. Considering the specs that you have, you've got a pretty good price for it.

    I humbly disagree.
There have been at least 2 better deals:
    2Ghz, 1GB ram @1110:

Maybe so. I was just basing it off the fact that Dell has the E1705 for 900 dollars right now which only lasts until midnight.
