My laptop has had quite an adventure! It's been through 6 states 2 of them twice! When it only had to go through 2 to get to me. I've watched it over the past two weeks, bounce back and forth all over the place. Finally last night it was two cities away and just now I checked it again it made another stop on the other side of my city! Why? I don't know!

Anyone else have this issue with DHL?? I had a similar issue with them about 2 years ago, and when I saw that Dell was shipping with them I about freaked..
So if it doesn't end up in Japan somewhere I just might have it tonight..

Is it still on schedule to be delivered to you by the promised date?

Actually it's off by about a week. Called Dell and they offered to refund the shipping. Problem is that I already have free shipping.. So got a coupon for 10% my next order.

Why not just call DHL and see what's going on. They might pull your package and deliver it separately. Tell them you'll pick it up at their center.

DHL has always been good for me, but when you live just a few hours from the hub it's hard not to get good service. I do know though that they use USPS if they don't cover your area. That might explain the delay if you aren't in a more populated area.

I got overnight shipping for free with my order. No issues. Can't say I've ever been burned by DHL either. I definitely say call DHL and request to pick the box up at the center. Also, 10% from Dell isn't much. Get more!! :)

Called DHL and picked it up myself from the next city over. Rather happy now. :) Also going to call Dell and complain some more.

    JesterDev,

Definetly do it. Dell will file a claim with DHL for failure in service and they are going to get their shipping costs refunded, so you they should really compensate you better than a measily 10% off a future order (which could be around 150 bucks or as low as 5 bucks depending on what you are ordering...)

Hope you didn't have to drive far with gas prices these days. Yes do call Dell to see if you can get compensated for your troubles.

At least yours stayed in the right country. Last year I bought a new desktop from Dell, instead of being delivered to me in Holland, Michigan - it was sent overseas. My Vista upgrade for the machine was also sent via DHL, the overnight delivery I was promised took 18 days to make it via DHL.

I've got a brand new Inspiron 1720 that's supposed to be delivered by the 28th, if it's coming via DHL I guess I'll see it in a month or two.
