    Dell D830 speed

    Is there any way to speed up the processor and download speeds of the D830. I have the 2 Ghz santa rosa processor and it is taking me a while to download i tunes it doesnt seem to be running correctly.

    I sincerely doubt that your processor is causing you problems with iTunes. I suggest you attempt to download it again (again, speed of download depends on your internet connection, not the computer. If you have 28.8, it will take a awhile, again with 56k. DSL, T1, Cable, etc.)

    If you have a slow connection, it will take a while. Installing it should be fine. I can't see why your computer would slow down unless perhaps you have too much stuff running in the background.

    Apple's iTunes download servers are very fast. I can pull 1850KB/s off them all the time. Try tweaking the system.

    Wow another n00bish comment. Something what they would tell you at Best Buy.

    Everything with downloads depends on the speed of your internet connection

    I'm not saying that paddyk will be able to suddenly get faster speeds than what the ISP offers, i'm just saying that Apple's website is fast.
