I am having trouble running some graphic intense games such as counter strike source for more than 5 minutes. I have an NVS 140m with 256mb dedicated memory. I know it is not designed for games but the thing is, the card overheats and the frame rates normally at an average 100fps go down to 20fps in a few minutes.
Is this supposed to happen or is a genuine problem and i should send the machine back since i've only had it for about 1 month.
P.S I have noticed that as soon as the fan goes into action then the graphics is reduced at that moment. I really need a reliable stable system, Its not normal to go on a computer and have a limited time of about 10 minutes on a game then not be able to run anymore graphic intense games until the card has cooled down, which normally takes 5 hours at least.

I have run graphic intense games (FS X, COD 4) for hours on end and have 0 problems. Your card should not be over heating or dropping from 100 fps to 20 fps.

I'd call up dell and complain.

On a side note: Are you using the dell drivers? I saw a big performance increase ditching the dell drivers and using the drivers on laptopvideo2go.
