    Does anyone out there own the Dell D800? I read the review on this website but was hoping for some feedback from someone who owns one.

    It would be okay if it did not suck. (see below)

    Why? No REAL full powered USB 2.0 ports.

    Dell decides to make all their laptops this way, forcing you to carry extra ac adapters and not being ablke to use slimline, bus powered external storage.

    I will never buy another Dell because of it.

    Other than that? The computer is okay but not worth the price.

    Cheap, plasticy casing, like all Dells. Big. Not meant as a portable.
    Screen is nice, but video card is weak.
    Keyboard good.
    Trackpoint and touchpad good, but the buttons require too much pressure to make them work.
    Speed is fine for most apps, etc.

    Really, this is meant as a desktop replacement. To that extent, it does work.
