    Dell D630 shipping date and delivery

    I'm thinking of getting a D630 as the current deal is fairly good (400 off 1699). My dilemma is that I'm leaving for college on Aug 22 and my order for a Lenovo T61 4:3 is delayed until 8/20 (from 8/2) and I don't know if it will get delayed again.

    My question is if I order from the small business site, how long will it take to ship. With that said, who is wiser to have it ship to my college dorm or to my house (by Aug 21)?

    Just give them a call and ask.

    I recently built a D630 from Dell.CA (last friday) and the Dell rep told me I'd get it in 12 days.

    How long does it take for the laptop to get through build stage? I placed an order on a D630 last Wednesday and it's been in the build stage for a few days now.
