Good god, there needs to be a limit on how many extensions and departments you can have!!

This is ridiculous, I had to cancel an order last week and place a new order so that I could take advantage of a new coupon (600 bucks off) And they told me that I would get the credit returned after 24 to 48 hours. Its been a week, and still no credit to the card.

So I called Dell tech support, and I explained my problem, and he sent me on a forward to the correct place.

Then that guy wasn't the right one, so he forwarded me to someone else, then that guy didnt work, then the same darn thing happened again and again and again until FINALLY after 1 Hour, 30 Min and talkin to 10 different customer support reps, I finally was able to talk to someone who was able to put my credit request in the system.

Are you kidding me? Why hire all these incompetent fools! How can someone mess this up this bad! I've got better things, like school, to do than sit and get forwarded by idiots who don't know where they are sending me.

I know I'm not alone in this, but what a pain in the neck! I thought Dell's support was class A?[ :(!]

hey denver, please let me know how it goes, and if you can, give me the number that they forward you to, because I'm going to do the same exact thing you are doing once my 6000 with xp pro gets here.

Denver, How do you like the set up you have on your 9300? I was thinking on getting the exact same set up. All but the memory. I can get it cheeper from a buddy. I might even just order it with 256 to get it here. Did you have a coupon when you bought yours?

    Thanks Passnbyu

    Passnbyu,

I love it!! But, anything would have been better than the 6 year old Compaq with 128 of RAM I had been using. I'm sure I could have found the "Extras" cheaper, but I didn't want to chance messing up my brand new laptop - I don't trust myself to do it right.

And yes, I used the 35% off coupon and saved $1250.00 - I bought alot of software and extras.

    MoZirry,

I tried chat and then couldn't get on because I was in Home and I made my purchase thru Small Bus. - I'll do it tonight when I get home and I'll let you know how I end up doing it.

Denver, Thanks for the info and comments! I guess I'll have to wait, if I could save up to 1200 bucks! My luck they will not have them any more. Have a Great day!

    Hey Denver,

I emailed them with the request for the cds....i gotta response back in 24 hours and the cds like 3 days later. Do i dare say i got great service from dell!?
Unless my keyboard is on fire, i just email them because the order takes 24 hours to go into their system most of the time anyway and i have never not gotten, at least, a genuine/human response in 24 hours.
Plus, i think you can make the PRO cd with a utility on your pc, im not sure, but thats what i had to do with my i9300. It works fine.
