Well, I recieved my Vostro 1500 a while ago without and OS disk (like many other people). I then contacted Dell Customer Support, and I guess I contacted them at a bad time, the chat thing was busy for about an hour... So I sent an email with everything they need to know, and waited about a while, and nobody replied. A few days later, my computer broke due to some type of virus, so now I can't work until I get a hold of Dell and have them send me an OS disk.

So I drove 20 minutes to the nearest library, and contacted CS. I got a hold of someone in the chat room, and told him what went wrong. I asked him if he could do next day or two day shipping, and he said the fastest he could do is 5-7 business days... That's a week to a week and a half! And everyone else who didn't get an OS disk got it delivered to their houses next day. I told him I could not wait that long because I have to use the computer to work and earn money. Who's going to pay my bills and buy me food? Dell CS? I got pissed at the CS guy and asked him how I can contact the CS manager. He asked me what the problem was... What the hell? So I told him the problem again: I need computer to work, and I have to reinstall OS, blah blah blah. He then said, "OK, I'll tell my manager." And that got me even more pissed, I told him I wanted to contact the manager, not have him "tell" his manager what I said (which is something he most likely won't do). Then he said he's sorry for the inconvinience, and then asked me if I'm going to take the CS survey. I said "No, I want the CS manager's contact info!!!" And he finally gave me the manager's email...

I emailed the manager today, still at the library 20 minutes away from my house... Sure the Vostro is cheap for the specs, but the CS is just horrible...

Well, it's not the computer's fault that it crashes when it's new. But I test many anti-virus and anti-spyware programs (and I get paid for it), and I guess Norton Anti-virus just couldn't handle the pressure...
