    Hello from the UK

First post on what seems to be the best laptop forum on the net.

I am close to ringing up Dell to spec out a Vostro 1500 on a budget of about £500.

I am hoping to do some pretty intense haggling really as the laptop build I am after is around £585!

I have noticed the Dell Coupons section at the top of this page but wondered if there is such a thing for the UK and if so how do you get them and where do they appear? Thought it might bring the cost down a bit.

Having said all this I am doubting my choice after hearing about how thick the Vostro is. Any good links to some thickness comparison pics?

Also, how much noticeable difference would there be between a 1.6 and a 2.0 processor on the 1500?

Sorry for all the additional questions but they came to me as I wrote this!

Im not sure bout coupons but you can get some money back (I think 4.5 - 5% ;) if you buy as a Quidco member. However despite this it may take a while to get your money.

There are no coupons for the UK. There wouldnt be much difference between the 1.6 and 2.9 processors unless you are going to run intensive applications.

Pics comparing Vostro 1400 and 1500:

Also post up the spec and what price you get. Ask for free upgrades etc.

Edit: Quidco is good but i always find that haggling on the phone will get you a better deal.
