    Hey Guys,

I'm not expecting to get lots of responses because the expresscard is a new thing, but if anyone helps, I would really appreciate it.

Could you guys with dell core duo laptops and the Siig Firewire 2 port expresscard see if the laptop boots up with the card pluged in? I know another guy with an e1705 who has the same problem and was wondering if it's a design flaw (it works perfectly with an Pentium-M Inspiron 630m).

I'm waiting for a new motherboard and expresscard reader though, hope that solves the problem.

    Sam

I'd be interested to know if you solved this problem myself. I just bought the SIIG Firewire Expresscard, and my E1705 won't take it.
