    Does anyone know where I can get a list of the components in Dell laptops. I'm looking for the manufacturers of their internal components, (ie. CD-ROM, RAM, MoBo etc.). Any notebook would be great, i'm looking to buy the M90.

    I doubt Dell has an official list. Once you place your order, the components will be listed and you might be able to do a search on the codes to see who makes what. Dell uses several different manufacturers for each part. On the Inspirons alone, there are at least 4 different manufacturers for the cd/dvd drive.

    My M90 has the following components according to Astra32:
    Mobo: Dell provided by Intel
    RAM: Hyundai
    Optical: TSSTcorp (anyone ever heard of them?)
    HDD: Doesn't say, not sure
    Sound: Intel Sigmatel HD
    USB/Firewire: Dell
    Smart card Reader: 02 Micro
    Ethernet: Broadcom
    Wireless: Intel 3495
    Monitor: AU Optronics
    Video: nVidia

    Some of those are a little vague, but I hope it helps. Half of them just say Dell.
