Has anyone had to use their completecare coverage? How long does it take from when you call Dell to when you have a fixed/new computer?

depends where you are?(USA) and whether u have NBD(next business day), and what type of situation it is

i splilled water on my keyboard once, keyboard acted up and dvd drive died... went online(its easier than doing it over the phone IMO), got a tech to come by the next day and replace everything(he opened up and closed my laptop in 1.5 hours... considering that u pretty much have to take out everythiny to replace the dvd drive)

also once, my friend broke the hinge part(its not really broken, just chipped.. hinge works fine, but theres a gaping hole there).... Dell Tech offered to send to depot, i didnt really want to push the case for a tech, so i got them to send me the parts and i fixed it(spent 3 hours opening up my laptop and closing it... fun though... i love playing with electronic parts)

[ btw, i have 4 yr Complete Care NBD]

I have 3 years on it for my XPS 1530.

I had to use only once so far, a 3rd Party Technician was dispatched..and my Motherboard was replaced w/in 24 hours.

I called on a Tuesday, and the Technician was at my house to fix at 7pm in the evening, on Thursday! :D

And, I will use it again..if a situation occurs and I need to! The Technician said I would most likely get him again, since he covers the area I live in!

I've only had to use it once but IMO its well worth the cost. I called Dell about a LCD problem and they sent a Tech out with a new one the next day.

Strongly considering extending Complete Care on my old 9300. I can't believe they would even still offer it but, there is a one year extension available if I want to lighten my wallet for it.

Yes, I'm curious too. And, the extension has the same coverage?
