will be cancelling today, but why would i be charged for the software and why would they be sending a floppy disk when these computers don't have floppies....Is this normal for Dell to charge for this software??

I called Dell to get my reinstallation disks it did'nt cost me a thing even the shipping was free. I recieved Media Direct disk, XP MC05 disk, Sonic MyDVD & RecordNow disk, CyberLink PowerDVD disk, Bloatware disk, Driver disk.

i'll call sales dept today, maybe that's how they do internal acct. If they wanna charge there's no way i'll accept them.
-
Never mind internal Accounting purposes

This is going to happen with anything that you order from Dell's Tech Support. You'll also receive a return shipping label even if you are not required to send that part back (like the discs). There have been a couple of minor things like a keyboard for spare parts, and Dell hasn't forced me to pay the fee yet.

ditto...they didn't charge anything even for my reinstall discs for my M140 after purchase.
