Anyone got the name and ID of the Canadian rep that served you via phone? Did they give you good offers? The best I've been offered is either $25 off or free $40 backlight keyboard... Should I just take that one?

I'd take the free backlit keyboard.

I ordered my laptop today online, I didn't even know you could bargain for deals over the phone. Doh'

I thunk that happens in America. Canada probably has placed bargains that their managers tell them to give only when you bug them about it:

    In Canada it's like this...

1: Hi I want a Dell Studio 15. My budgets limited. Do you have any offers to cut it down to $1200?

    2. I got $25 off

    1. Anymore?

    2. (eh boss... this kid wants more... Okay...... Okay)
    I got a $40 backlit keyboard
    (uh huh..... Okay)
Take it or leave it kid

    1. Oooo. How bossy lol

I am from Canada and ordered over the phone and was able to change quite a few things from the configuration online, I got the backlit keyboard (not offered online for the 14z) I was able to upgrade the cpu (online only one choice) also got to choose the microsoft office home and student and leave off the mcaffee as both were $99.00, I was able to get a good sales rep that was willing to do all of this because I was having issues with te 1st one.
