Canada is usually cheaper in upgrades but US has better coupons.
At the end, a maxed laptop is pretty much the same amount in both
    countries

A couple of weeks ago Dell USA had the XPS m170 well-specced for $1349 USD after a 10% coupon. Dell Canada had the same spec XPS for $3200 CAD.

In virtually every comparison I've seen, Dell USA is cheaper. Dell Canada has worse coupons too ($650 off of $2000, for example) and they only function on a group of massively-price-inflated systems. On some systems (such as the 9400), an upgrade from 512mb to 2gig RAM can cost $520.

That being said, it is still possible to get some nice deals for the Canadian site. They're just not as good, due to fewer and worse coupons than the US site.

    Just my opinion, at least.
