Hi, I am hoping someone with Dell Canada experience can help me with this one. My 1330 laptop is being returned (too hot) and I wanted to add the intel wireless n card which has just been added to the Canadian website. They told me that the new machine had to be built to the same specs as the old one and no additions could be made. Is that true? Then I asked about next day shipping and they said there was no option for that. Is that true? If it is true that I can't add the intel card and there is no next day shipping, what extra might I be able to reasonably expect from them as I had a defective laptop? Also, I have phone up at least 5 different times to see if I could simply order a new system and have been told that there is no price latitude with the 1330, they could not, would not, give me a deal on pricing. One guy even talked with his supervisor. Is this a new thing, now, that they are shutting the door firmly on pricing with the 1330?
Anyway, I so appreciate everyone's time and if anyone could help me, I would be very grateful. Much thanks in advance, Yasmine

Yes both are true... There is no 'Next Day' in Canada and a replacement order goes by the exact specs of the one you are returning.
There is no way to avoid this at this point. They could, with other items, grant a "one time gesture' where they comp u a peripheral or component that is not installed.
ie... They could comp you a better hd. I believe they could prob do that with that but you need to get the right person.
Your system still arrives with the orig configuration though. -
Thanks so much for your confirmations. I would love to get the intel card sent as a recompense. I apologize for asking more questions but should I go to sales or customer service, should I use the xps line or the general line and finally, what approach can I take, what can I say? I am asking this as I have gotten nowhere with a number of issues and don't know if I am doing something wrong. I try to be clear and respectful but they just say no and I don't know what else to say at that point. Thanks again for your time and help, Yasmine
