With a 1330 you are paying a premium for a small and light laptop that looks good. Having a dongle hanging out of the laptop adds some extra dimensions to worry about, and certainly does nothing to help in the style department.

The only problem with the bluetooth is a software issue relating to the sku and Cdn orders. The bluetooth is compatible but they cant figure out why the sku bounces the orders at the build stage...

Choice of ordering without or waiting a few days.

They remove it to lessen there problems while ensuring sales.

Thanks for the explaination. Now I'm less worried. I guess I'll just hold off my order for the time being. Here's a follow up on the issue with another rep:

5:31:23 PM You: would it ever become available again?
5:31:59 PM CA SALES Manoj 1252: yes it will be available in future for sure
5:33:11 PM You: can you give me an estimate of when this might happen? I'm really looking forward to buying this laptop and planned on making my order tomorrow and I'm hoping for the internal bluetooth feature
5:34:03 PM CA SALES Manoj 1252: i don't have the exact date for it , but it should be available in a couple of weeks
5:34:24 PM CA SALES Manoj 1252: you can order the notebook now and can purchase the blue tooth later
5:34:33 PM You: you mean add it back on after
5:34:56 PM CA SALES Manoj 1252: yes
5:34:57 PM You: I don't want an external bluetooth device I'd rather having it built into the laptop
5:35:38 PM CA SALES Manoj 1252: you can add a internal one later

I guess canadian buyers can now relax for a bit since this is only temporary. His suggestion is also good. You can place your order now and then order the internal once they get it back up.

I was told a day or two from the exec level as they are working on the software; I would be a bit upset if it was a couple of weeks.

I will wait 2 days then send a followup email regarding this issue if it hasnt been rectified.

True, but I think the rep is saying this just to give themselves headroom. Cause they're not sure when for sure the developers can fix this. If they tell you two days and in the end it's not fixed, you'd file a complain.

Absolutely i agree totally that, in theory, your probably bang on.

I have read in numerous forums here though, of CSRs who havent got a clue lying just to get the sale or to just bypass the issue. There is even one where a CSR Rep was quoting an article by Dell vice president from 'Direct2Dell' two days after it was retracted.

I hope to heck its 2 days...I would be upset to have both my orders sit in Limbo for 2 weeks while they sorted out the bluetooth when Im smart enough to just click it in myself after he fact...

Hence why I stated i will wait to days then address it.

I was just wondering about this myself. I keep test-building my desired system, noting how the price tends to get lower each week. Last time I tried there was a bluetooth option, but NO fingerprint reader. Tonight the fingerprint reader's there, but no bluetooth. Agghhh!

My order is proceeding without bluetooth for now but if they can't put it back in before shipping it, I will be demanding a free internal bluetooth. Either way, I'm getting bluetooth because that's what I ordered. This whole situation is really, really stupid. I'm so fed up with Dell. The funny thing is my situation has turned off so many people I know from Dell.

I think I've said this before but why oh why does Dell show so little regard for early adopters, the people who recruit tons of friends and family to buy their systems? Then again, it seems like everyone on this forum but me has got free stuff from Dell for all the troubles. :( lol
