So I'm in Canada. I read in a thread that they don't actually check for EPP Validity. Is this true, or is it bogus?

No idea,
I used an old one from work (2004 EPP code) and it worked fine on multiple orders I've made.
edit: Really, it's not that big of a deal and I can see them just ignoring it all together. If you speak with a salesman to make the order I've head of people getting 15-20% off just through haggling. They have the room on most product, and the more expensive the item the more room they have to play with.
It's just like buying a car, only a fool pays sticker price. I just use this code so I don't need to haggle. It's a decent discount with no questions asked.
p.s. I'm in canada too. -
In the Canadian sit, for example, they don't even ask for a code.
Edit that: They ask for it at checkout instead. -
Doesn't hurt to try, if they reject it you can always make the order over the phone and get a similar discout my haggling with the salesman.
What are you thinking of purchasing? -
Get any EPP code you can, no matter what it is (american or not), take it to a Dell Kiosk in Canada (while they last), they'll give you the same 12% off (Desktops and laptops over a certain price), no questions asked. They don't even go though the epp site.
I've done it 5 times already. YMMV (Remember that Dell trolls these boards, so if you can't back up the epp number YSOOL).
Have fun

Does anyone know if there is student discount on notebooks? If so, how do I get a code or something for it?
