Dell does not send CDs. If you bought your 9300 in the last few weeks, you should have noticed an option to buy the CDs, and $8 charge. You can burn off recovery CDs on your laptop. It will restore your 9300 to it's original state. It is under Start>Programs>Dell... Just download the drivers from Dell and burn them off onto a CD before you wipe it out. Then if you need the CDs, Dell will send them to you if needed. I beliveve it is free. Might have changed since they are now charging for CDs.

just to clarify what zazonz said, i believe the CDs you burn 'one-time' are OEM XP cds w/sp2 and NOT the factory image. the factory image is on the restore partition and can be restored as often as you like as long as the paritition is intact.

someone please clarify if i am incorrect.

There are many free softwares that can play DVDs like Windows Media Player and Real Player to name a few.
