I have a dell C610 w/XP pro installed. When using wireless internet the audio stutters and is unusable. I have tried wireless cards in the pcmcia slot and usb wireless and get the same results. If I use an ethernet connection the audio is fine if I reboot then connect the cable. This machine had win 2k on it when I got it and had the same problem. I have reloaded audio drivers for both operating systems with no luck.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Most likely it is your wireless connection. Since you are able to play it fine on ethernet, then it isn't an hardware issue. You might changing channels on your wifi and try to get the least amount of interference possible. You have a slow wifi connection, then the sound isn't going to be that good.
