Just wanted to chime in and let everyone know that I was going through an odd problem with my Vostro 1400 in that if I clicked sleep on the start menu, it would sleep properly, if I closed the lid it would sleep properly, but if I let it sleep itself (after x minutes of no activity) the hard drive would spin a bit and the wifi and BT lights would never go off. At this point to get back I had to hard reset.

This was caused by the Dell WIDCOM BT driver which I uninstalled and we are all back at fine.

I know people usually post with a problem that isn't solved but I thought I would through this out there so that those with similar problems wouldn't end up just living with it or something.
