Yes, I hate Dell Toshiba BT software as well and it doesn't work with Microsoft BT mouse. Just uninstall Toshiba software and Windows will reconfig itself with the new device.

Yes, I am using MS drivers and very happy with it.

I bought the BT internal card after the fact so upon installing the Toshiba driver, the mouse pointer becomes very erratic in its movement and also it puts an icon on my desktop (forgot the name) that I could not remove. All I had to do was uninstall the driver and restart and the Microsoft driver took over after a restart.

Try, uninstall the BT in your Device Manager (Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager)

I was also running BIOS 3 which was buggy with MS BT mouse in which tilting the middle mouse button to the right started Dell Media Experience.

Is there a description of the features of the MS drivers? do they support anything else other than the mouse and keyboard?
