Interesting. I have been looking at the Studio XPS 16 and Studio 17 for a few weeks. The Studio 17 was the first to come out with the i7 chip and Windows 7 so I shifted focus to it.

The option for the Bluetooth was there initially and allowed the configuration to be built. It then changed to a "compatibility problem with the O/S" and wouldn't let the laptop be configured and now it is not listed as an option. Chatting with a Dell rep on Thursday they said there was a driver problem with Windows 7 and the internal bluetooth option. She told me that an external bluetooth mouse would work. It seemed 'odd' to me that this was found out a week after the release of Windows 7.

As of this morning, I now see the option on the XPS 16. Not sure. Probably merits another chat session.

I use that exact mouse with my Studio 15 (1555) Bluetooth on Windows 7 Home Premium, no issues.

Just noticed that the Studio 15 has the option for bluetooth and it allows the laptop to be configured. Chat'd with Dell on the Studio 17, they had no new update on driver conflict.
