I am having some issues with the Dell bluetooth module. Firstly isnt this card supposed to be plug and play. Windows 7 and Ubuntu both do not detect this card. The device manager shows no missing drivers or anything. It only works after i install the dell bluetooth 370 application.

Now my problem is that I recently purchased a Motorola S805 bluetooth headset which pairs up with the laptop fine but if I go beyond 4 feet the music starts to stutter and the link is broken. After this the widcomm bluetooth app totally disappears from my system until I restart windows.

I tried removing the dell drivers and installing the widcomm app from Broadcoms website but it gets stuck at the detecting bluetooth step and tells me to plug in my bluetooth device.

I know that the Moto headset is fine coz it pairs up perfectly with my Nokia E51.

now i cant even install the default dell bluetooth drivers. Its giving the error 'Activate Bluetooth using Wireless switch'. Using the wireless switch only turns on/off the wifi and no effect on bluetooth.

    Windows should detect it.
Try this uninstall drivers and delete the drivers if it gives you this option when you go to uninstall it. Make sure you have your drivers to hand for install later.
Once this has been done power off PC, have the radio switch on for BT and power on your PC now If system does not react to new hardawre being found scan your system when found New hardware navigate to your drivers etc etc.

already did that.... windows does not detect it. No unknown devices or anything in Device manager. Its as if it does not exist unless I install the widcomm dell driver.

Using the Radio switch (F2) only turns on/off the wifi even though it has been setup to control both the radios. I guess I`ll ask dell for a replacement or something.

Did you install the Broadcom driver/program? It is a 100MB install and got my BT370 card working.
