Hey all, I ordered a dell XPS m1530 on 6/6/08 and the ESD was around 7/2/08. However, I just recieved confirmation that the order has been shipped on 6/12/08.

Does this mean that the dell battery shortage is ending, or did they just get another shipment of batteries??

    Laptop Ordered:

    Intel Core 2 Duo T8300
4GB RAM (will be upgrading to 64 bit vista)
    1440X900 LCD WXGA+
    160GB 5400rpm HD(Upgrading this too)
    8600M GT (256MB)
    6 Cell Battery
    Wireless N (intel)
+1 yr warranty and accident coverage

    All for $1220 shipped.

Dell's system is weird. If one part is delayed, they don't hold your other parts. In order for you to get built, all parts must be in stock at the same time.

Awesome that you got such a short build time.

Usually takes 2 - 4 days after boxing to ship.

It needs to fly from Malaysia to the US, then get re-boxed, then get picked up by the carrier.
