How good are Dell's back to school deals usually? Are they usually very good or mediocre, or cruddy? Anything that might be like the deal they have now with $500 off? I am wondering if they will have some discounts on the new E1520.

I'm curious as well....more specifically on the Latitude series (don't mean to hijack)

They suck seriously. I waited last semester for the back to school deal to buy a laptop and I ended buying it two weeks after because the deals were horrible.

Supply and demand says "You get the best deals when noone's buying." Unfortunately for you, even though you see everyone offering discounts to compete with each other for the back to school market, you're more likely to end up paying more, as most students buy theirs around this time.
