    Hello!
I feel that the 90 watt adapter which was included with my Inspiron 9400. (Bought it nearly 3 years ago), is insufficient, when I attach my external FAN, or my PDA, my computer goes a lot slower; I get a very low FPS in games in which I normally don't have a problem with. My battery also nearly charges; thus I'm seriously considering of buying a 150 watt adapter. When I search the Belgian Dell site, then I find this adapter: http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=be&l=nl&s=dhs&cs=bedhs1&sku=450-11330
When I search the American site, I find a different adapter:
    http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=310-8537
Which one will be compatible with my system? I already contacted Dell Inspiron Support; though he redirects me to call to Dell Sales...
    Can someone help me?

    Thanks in advance!

A 150w Adaptor will do nothing for you...

You need to find out why our PC is slow otherwise as it isn't a power issue. Try cleaning it out with compressed air and seeing what's bogging your OS down.

The Wattage rating on an adaptor means how much wattage it can handle max. So when a device needs less, as your laptop will, it will dish out less.

Thanks for the answer, though you didn't fully read my post:
I say that my laptop only goes very slow when for example my PDA is charging through USB or when my external FAN through USB is connected; otherwise my laptop runs just fine.

I would look for 150W adapters for the XPS 1710 since it has a lot in common with the E1705.

BTW nice name o' fearsome predator.
