Hey guys, I've been using Notebook Hardware Control as I don't trust speed step and I like to have my notebook at 2.0 Ghz all the time. Anyway, since I upgraded to the new A01 bios, I can no longer disable the C States while keeping the Geyserville on (thats what allowed me to control clock speed in windows)

Anyway the new A01 bios eliminates the C States and the Geserville and replaces it with Enhanced speed step on or off. Niether works with Notebook hard Control. Anyone know any solution to this?

    Thx.

Unless there is a way for NHC to adjust it, I would guess your only option at this point would be to roll back to the A00 BIOS... :(

    I feel your pain...

Yeh, that really sucks, are there any benefits to the new bios? Why can't dell make people happy, they just to continue to frustrate people.

    Thx for the reply

Support for 7900 Series cards, some re-arranging of the bios menu and I can say from experience, the bios is reporting GPU temps more on target. Before while overlcocking I was experiencing random fracts and now the fans kick on more frequently and the problem is gone. Temps are also showing higher than before which leads me to believe that the bios was under-reporting gpu temps.
