I'm lookin at the Dell 9300 right now for gaming. Mostly stuff like the Sims 2, or the Battlefield Series. I'm tryin to get it around the 1500 price range, and Dell atm has a 400 dollar off immediatly thingy going on right now. Right now I have configured a 1.6ghz, 256mb (will upgrade on my own, cheaper than doin through dell), 40gb hd (same as ram), 256 Nvidia on the go 6800, The better option for the 17 inch screen, and XP home. Is this good for now? and i'm curious as to whether 1.6 is enough or if I should upgrade it further now, or if not is it possible to upgrade the processor later on?

Dell wants 50 bucks to upgrade it to 512, 250 to upgrade it to a gig, and 1000 to upgrade it to 2 gb

Are you sure you can get laptop memory cheaper? I am having problem finding an extra stick for my Toshiba.
