    Hello everyone,

I have a 4 year old Dell inspiron with XP media OS. Since its performance has deteriorated over time, I decided to fresh install the OS and get rid of all files and software. So I have installed XP Ultimate. However eversince I have done this I have been having issues. (1) System refuses to recognise my DVD drive - this prb i have been having for past few months (2) System says no sound card (3) 1080P screen now shows 1280X720 as max resolution (4) Wifi is not working. In network connections it doesnt even show wireless card as an option (5) I am sure the more I look into the lappy the more issues I am bound to find.

Please let me know if these are hardware issues or software issues..i have this laptop now with new XP Ultimate and nothing else and am not sure if it is of any use.

Will download 9300 software from Dells website help me in anyways..please help me out. Thx  :(

Yes, you need to download the drivers for the system to make everything work as designed.
