    I have a Dell 9100 with a 256meg 9800 in it and have a couple questions.

1st- Is it possible to pop the 9800 out and replace with a go6800 (or ATIs new mobile chip)
2nd- Where on EARTH could I possibly find one of those cards in the next few weeks as a stand alone???

    1) The 6800go is pci which means it wont fit. 9800 256MB is very similiar anyway so dont know why you would want to.

    2) Not sure but ebay would be a good guess.

hammerz is completely right. its a different format (possibly MXM), so it wont fit, and neither will ATI's. and yes, why would you want to when the mobility 9800 is made with the same core as the desktop x800 core (R420). No, ur not gonna find 1 probably, for a while. these are the first new sets of removable graphics cards for notebooks, so you might be able to find some in a few months, but you'd need a whole new laptop then. Thats y i'm not so fond of dell notebooks anymore, except the 9200: they fall behind in technology sometimes.

Its faster at doom3, thats pretty much it, every other category is very close. I know with overclocking its quite a bit faster (if you saw same review as i did), but then you can overclock the 9800 too and that wasnt shown.
