I got my 1420 and i got 2 9 cell batteries.. The only issue i have is that they seems loose when they are in the laptop.. They shake a little bit and are not completly tight.. I have no fear of them falling out or anything i was just wondering if its normal for 9 cells to be loose.

Yes i've noticed this looseness too on my m1210 and less so with the 6 cell battery. This is what I decided to do. The battery seems to rock a little bit up and down, and lesser so in and out. I put a felt dot on the top of the battery compartment and one behind it so it was just enough to force the battery to fit a bit tighter. Also it doesn't rock as much cause the felt dots dampen it.
