hello, i have a dell 700m, and my battery meter is now broken, it will go from 99% to 4% battery remaining. The battery will not run out, but the meter says its gone. I have tried reformatting my laptop already. What can i do? Thanks a lot.

You might try calibrating the battery, but I am not sure if that would help, especially since you say that the "battery will not run out."

How old is your original battery? And did you calibrate it at all (before the two times mentioned above)? And how long does it last before dying out?

Make sure to give your new battery the proper care and maintenance. Read through the battery guide for more information on the subject.
