I got my 6400 with the cheaper Ati X1300 but now on dell, they are offering a 256mb Nvidia Go 7300 Turbocache.

In theory, could I buy this seperately ans upgrade it, even though I bought mine before this was being offered?

Ie, would it fit, and be recognised and install properly?

i believe you can but i wouldnt recommend it because 1) performance will not improve much or at all. 2) not worth the money.

    Okay :S

So the difference between dedicated 64mb and 128mb isn't enough to justify the price?

The x1400 is superior to the 7300, even though the 7300 is more expensive, it isnt better. I dont reccomend trying to upgrade, the cards are hard to find, will probably run at least $200, maybe more, you'll void your warranty, so if you bork your system, your on your own, and finally while gaming will be improved, especially with older titles, you'll still struggle with the latest and greatest. Your money would be better spent towards a gaming machine, be it laptop or better yet for gaming, a dedicated desktop.
