    Dell 5100 not booting up ..!

    My dell 5100 is not booting up ..Whenever i insert the power line , all three indicators on the front of laptop glows then goes off ..I tried to remove the battery nd switch on the laptop but nothing works ..It was working fine a week ago but after that the battery charging indicator doesnt glow neither the laptop switches on ..Is it the problem with the laptop or the battery or what? Please tell me what should i do ..Is it possible to switch on the laptop without battery inserted? I tried this too but doesnt work :-(

    Don't hold me at this but it could be that the OS has unstable power management settings that do not run well with your BIOS! :confused:
