I was just looking up drivers for my E1405 and found a driver for Dell 355 bluetooth. How is it different from Dell 350 bluetooth? The site didn't help much.

I just had to do the same thing after reformatting.

check your invoice if you still have it or the order information online, I think that has it too.

I'm pretty sure its the 355

The 355 has faster speeds for bluetooth EDR 2.0 or something.

but they don't even havve the hardware listed anywhere. Its just a driver. The E1405 can still only be configured with Dell 350 bluetooth.

I think the website hasn't been updated yet. From helping out other users with walk throughs on formatting, all of them in the past two weeks had the 355 card which uses the BT 2.0 (no idea what the difference is between the two).

the 355 is bluetooth 2.0, which has a faster transfer rate, better connectivity and if you use voice gateway, better clarity.

The latest 350 driver from Dell includes a firmware update for the 350 module which gives it BT 2.0 support. Note: the firmware update takes awhile so don't dispair if it seems to stop...it does eventually completes successully.

However, the 355 module has 10 meter range while the 350 has only a seven meter range.
