Hey everyone; I know this is slightly OT for the notebook forum, but seeing as I own the i9400/e1705, and am familiar in this forum, what the hey...

Does anyone know if the dell 24" monitor would make a good replacement HDTV? I want to get one for my 9400, but seeing as I already have a 22" LCD HDTV (1280x720), it would make sense if it replaces that as well. So, some questions:

Can the monitor be remote-controlled (I have a Harmony 880)? If not, does it at least go into standby if it gets no signal (i.e. if equipment attached to the component inputs is turned off)? How is the scaling for normal cable/HDTV? Will this new monitor that dell's supposed to be releasing shortly have at least all the same features/price/performance (i.e. should I wait)?

Also, does anyone have any opinions regarding the quality between the 24" monitor and the built in WXGA and WUXGA screens of the 9300/9400?

Current Dell 2405FPW price is $959.20 CAN (until tomorrow)
