I wanted to ask the gallery before I purchase a USB cable...

On my 2007WFP monitor, there is 2 USB slots on the back of the monitor. Instead of using the 15pin VGA cable, can I just plug a USB cable into one of those slots and the other end into my laptop USB slot?

    Thanks in advance,

    Snes

The USB ports on the 2007wfp have nothing to do with the display; it is merely a convenience to have them integrated into the monitor.

Therefore, you do have to use one of the myriad connection options available to you with the 2007wfp: VGA, DVI, S-Video or component, in order to use the 2007wfp as a monitor.

The USB ports, of course, allow you to use it as a USB hub, provided you plug the included USB cable from the square end on the monitor to the rectangular end on any available USB port on your computer.
