Just had an issue with my Dell Studio !737.

    Quickset Window opens:

My AC power adapter type cannot be determined.Your system will operate slower and the battery will not charge.
Please connect a Dell 90W AC adapter or higher for best system operation.

When I Boot up I get the black screen with same warning and had to hit F1 to continue the Boot.

I called Dell and their Tech worked with me but in the final analysis they will send be a new 9 Cell Battery.

Anyone have a similar experience? :(

From what you described, it certainly sounds more like a faulty adapter than battery, but hey - if it works, great. Otherwise, talk to Dell again and they should send you a new adapter. If that happens, you might get lucky and be able to keep the new 9-cell they sent you too. :p
