for $1000 - you'd be stupid not to take that kinda deal for a 17" notebook...

My only problem is the CPU is 2mb cache.. lol

I would just go for 15"ers since they both have same GPU. I do hope Dell offers better GPU options on 17"ers in the future though.

well whats nice about a 17" over a 15" is well obviously a bigger higher res screen, a num pad, and it can run dual hard drives. if you keep it at a desk 95% of the time id say get a 17" over a 15" any day.

When I bought my E1705/M90/XPS 17"s, only reason I got them was because I wanted to play games with best GPU options possible. I guess things change in time though.

17" means bigger, so better airflow, and bigger possibilities of an upgrade path.

But that extra 2 inches is a ***** on the back if you carry that thing around all day lol.

Wow what a steal! Change that T7250 to a T7300 and it's almost perfect!

Combo drive and no bluetooth, though. But there's always USB for those.

You can buy the bluetooth module from Dell and install it. It goes under the hinge cover, no need for external USB ones :p

Is the 2mb cache a big deal? I've read elsewhere that the difference is actually pretty negligible for most apps. Least i hope so because i've ordered two Dells and they both have T7250. I'm not overly worried, my 4 year old desktop can do pretty much everything i want so i'm sure the laptop will be fine! I went for this deal mainly for the screen and twin hard drives because i work with photographs a lot....

you do know that the 425$ does not stack with the already discounted prices on the web site right? any discounts dell gives you get removed when you add the 425$ off just make sure you know that
