Just got a Cruical M4 SSD to put in my spare drive bay but the ports dont connect. The body of the drive just rests against the frame of the laptop. I have seen that on the origanal HDD there is an adapter but obviously that has to stay there. Can I buy another adapter for the second bay? Hows does this work?

Take a look at the service manual. It most likely needs a caddy, and it may not be the same as the primary caddy.

    Hi,

As Commander_wolf mentioned you will have to purchase a hard drive bracket for the SSD, so that it will fit in the secondary hard drive bay.
You may use the below link to view/download the service manual of Studio 1749. Refer to the same if required.

I hope this helps. Please do write back in case you need any further assistance.

    Thanks & Regards
