    Hi all,
I'm having troubles with an annoying wird beep that keeps on being heard everytime i play a music file with whatever player or music software (such as Adobe Audition). The most "funny" thing about it is that if i play the file out of the blue the sounds is audible, if i play something else after few seconds it's not there anymore, although if i wait few more seconds here is the annoying beep. Anyone of you experienced / solved a similar case? It's really, really bothersome.
    Thanks.

None of you ever experienced something like that? Is there a chance of getting rid of the annoying click i hear by purchasing an external audio card?

Is it only through your speakers? Does it happen with headphones? What about other files types or audio sources? Does it happen with flash videos within a browser or just music files?

It happens with headphones, i can't hear it from inbuilt speakers - but i guess it's because it's not that loud -, it happens when i turn on the sound after having mute it, it happens when i use softwares such as Ableton or Adobe Audition as well as Winamp or Windows Media Player, it doesn't happen if i keep on playing audio files but if i stop and start again in a minute or so the click will be there once again, i just checked - and it happens even when i play, for example, a youtube video.
I tried already updating the drivers - useless attempt, since i got this laptop brand new a week ago, but to not avail nevertheless. Tried disabling wifi, tried muting/disabling other playback devices such as the ati hdmi output and the other headphones settings, tried disabling all audio enhancements, nothing worked.
    Got any idea?

Very strange. I feel like I've come across this issue before, but I can't recall where or what it was or how it was resolved. Might have to think about that for a bit. Have you tried another set of headphones? Plugging into the other audio jack (not the mic).

Tried with the other jack, tried with other headphones, tried with both headphones on both jacks altogether and still no changes. It wouldn't be a terrible issue, if it didn't strike me everytime a sound is player - recording and mixing music become close to impossible this way, tho.
Do you think that, buying an external audio interface, i'd experience the same issues, or they would be gone? That's what i'm more concerned about, i don't mind hearing a click when i first load winamp, more if i have to give up music editing because of a wronged audio card.

It actually got even worse, not the click can be heard every so often, no matter if i decided to play an audio file or am just leaving audio on and listening to nothing. It's getting so annoying, am i the only unfortunate one with this model and this audio issue? And, i ask once more, will an external audio device solve all of my problems and allow me to, at least, make music in peace?

IF you switch off the power savings option in the IDT audio control panel it should stop the beep.
