Okay..
Im in quite the pickle..if anyone would be awesome enough to do this.. I'd be hella grateful lol.
Okay.
So, I purchased a used Dell 1545 off of eBay that had everything with it except the Operating System. I figured - no problem. I've ordered recovery disks with absolutely NO problem for other manufacturers. What a mistake that was.
I got in contact with Dell. They insisted that they need to know the original owners name in order for everything to be transferred so I can get the disks. Only one problem - I can't.
See.. I bought it off of eBay from a seller that seems to me like its a liquidation center. It says its affiliated with Best Buy.. so I assume Best Buy sells damaged things (part of the back was broken off.. but I got the laptop today and its in pristine condition. Not bad for $250 lol) and then they sell it on eBay. So its virtually impossible for me to track down the original owner and Dell won't budge AT ALL in this.
So.. if anyone has a set of Windows Vista disk from their Dell 1545 .. and would be willing to send it to me so I may install Windows.. I'll send it back.. pay for postage and all of that.
Im sorry if this is against the rules (I dont know?) .. but it has a valid Windows Vista key.
