    Dell 1545 Processor Upgrade / Problem

    I did some googling on CPU upgrades for the Dell 1545 and I came across several(including one from here) that said the T9550 or T9600 would work in the 1545 on the A14 Bios. Well I just got mine (T9550) in the mail today and no dice on battery or AC Adapter. The laptop turns on but shuts down after 10 seconds or so. Could anyone else confirm or deny that these do actually work or not? I am not out completely as I can use it for another laptop but others might not be so lucky and I wanted to confirm for the community.

    As far as I know the T9550 and the T9600 should work in a 1545... there are definitely people who have put T9900s in 1545s. Do you have another laptop with which to test the T9550 to confirm that it isn't DoA?

    I was looking around for another one to confirm but the only one I have would be a elitebook 8530p but they are a pain to take apart. I need to find another laptop to test it in.

    also I got a t9400 today and that one works perfectly, still looking for another laptop to test.
