Looking at the T8300 but not sure if I would see any difference or would it be worth spending the money on..price is 139.00. The sink/fan would be same on both CPU?

The T8300 would be a much better processor.

    It has more L2 Cache
It runs cooler thanks to 45nm process
It is Core 2 Duo, not Core Duo, which means it will last longer on battery life, and perform better clock per clock.

    I would do it :)

Changed the CPU and it made a lot of difference, IMO money well spent.

What're you doing with the machine? If you're just doing day-to-day jobs and multimedia, you probably won't get much more out of the T3200. If you're constantly CPU limited with image processing or graphics rendering, then you may actually want to consider that T8300. I wouldn't just get the T8300 for kicks, though.

You will get the better battery life, but I don't think that alone is worth $140.

My wife uses it with her photo stuff, and she seems to be happy with the upgrade. What little I play with it I notice quite a bit of difference just doing the "day to day jobs"
