This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Dell 1525 Screen Freezing, Computer gets hot

    My Dell 1525 about 1.5 years old, freezes often. It seems it has been increasing lately.

    No error messages, the screen just freezes.

    The laptop gets very hot as well. Not sure if the two are related.

    Someone advised (thanks) removing the battery and running it only from the cord but the same thing occurs.

    Any ideas?
