I find that the 1520 only has 10/100 ethernet bizarre, they dont offer turbo boost, The only OS option I was given was Vista (No XP, Dos, Or Linux) the 802.11n intel card is cheaper to buy externally than have it replace the dell wifi card. For nearly 1600 I think I would be better off buying the MBP, Or the V1s for 2 or 3 hundred more with much better specs and build quality.

You expected an OS option of DOS?

OK found the article on Turbo Memory, obviously a load of Intel croc:

HP doesn't see the added value in adding Intel Turbo Memory to its notebooks

When Intel launched its Santa Rosa platform, many new features were added to improve notebook performance. Intel bumped the front side bus to 800MHz, added new Merom-based Core 2 Duo processors along with Intel Active Management Technology 2.5, the GMA X3100 integrated graphics solution and the Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link 4965AGN Draft-N network adapter.

Oh OK, Mac book user. I can dig it.

No ones mentioned the lack of gigabit ethernet. I think thats far more important than DVI and HDMI that everyone is moaning about.

Sorry...I'm typing this with a 1.5 Megabit Internet connection...maybe for the rest of us a 1 GB connection, even on an Ethernet network, is simply unfathomable.

Not that it wouldn't be a good option...it just doesn't seem to be mainstream yet.

Agree with the above.. Why do you need Gigabit? There is no internet connection fast enough, most affordable routers are 100 mbit/s. The only way this could be interesting is when exchanging enormous amounts of date between two PCs in the same, completely gigabit network.

Bummer it's not there, but no biggie.

Nobody cares about HDMi or gigabit ethernet. I mean, this is targeted at the mainstream consumer and only a small fraction of the people interested in this know what hdmi/gigabit ethernet is/does and even fewer really want to pay for them. I think the configration is fine for most people.

Didn't anyone else notice that the gpu is GDDR2, not GDDR3 like the G1s.

It states DDR3 on the product description page, but DDR2 on the configuration page.
