Can anyone tell me if this processor will work in the Dell 1520:

    Intel Core 2 Duo P9500 (25W).

I would really like to upgrade this computer as I do not have enough to buy the computer I want right now and this one should last a little longer. I figure with the 25W processor it should run a little cooler, and smoother especially when playing Warhammer.

If so then this would be the my best option because of price.

    Thanks in advance.

No it will not work. The Penryn-Refresh series (P9500^) is incompatible with your system.

You can only use the 667/800MHz FSB Socket P Core 2 Duos (Penryn/Merom).
