I just got off of a chat with a dell rep, saying that the 256 MB of ram on the graphics card included is DDR3. At the same time, on this site, I have seen both people claiming that it is DDR2 or that it seems like DDR3 but really is DDR2. I don't get it, and so I was hoping someone could clarify.
Is it possible they are shipping with different cards now than in July? If not, why the contradictions?
Also, is the screen really as bad as people are saying?
I am thinking of buying the 1520, but I am considering the 1720, and either a C90S or a G1S-B1.
Thanks for the help!

it's DDR2, just check the clock settings on a dell it will show 400mhz memory, which is DDR2. With regards to the screen, it's just the luck of the draw; some people have good LCDs and some have bad ones. if you have a bad one just return it.

^^how do we get to know whether ours is a bad LCD or a good one ??? any specific thing that tells the difference ???

if its grainy...but don't worry about it, you might not even notice it

Here, I'll write a guide:
How to tell your screen is grainy: If you're reading this, it's not.
