    Hi all...

    Long story short...

I ordered a laptop and opted to have the wireless n card (Dell 1505 Wireless-N Mini-PCI Card EUR), but on the order confirmation it said the following...

    Dell™ Wireless 1390 802.11b/g Mini-Card - Europe
    Dell™ Wireless 1505 Wireless-N Mini-Card - Europe

When i spoke to dell about my order, they said that the Wireless N card was not compatable with my processor... (Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2GHz,800MHz,4MB L2 cache), So i told them to take the wireless N card off, keep the other wireless card, and refund me the extra money i paid... which they did...

Now, i got the order confirmation sent through in PDF form with all shipping details ect, and it has amended the price, but kept the wireless N card, but taken off the wireless b/g card...

My question is, the computer ill be eating internet from has a wireless G router, will that be compatable with the wireless N card? also, when i travel, will it be useable with connections that use wireless b/g?

Basicly, is this wireless N card backwards compatable with other types of wireless... i know quite a bit about pc's and other hardware, but never really used wireless much.

Yes a 802.11n card is backwards compatible. My 1520 has an intel 802.11n card and works perfectly with my zyxel x-550 router.

Also why would the n card not be compatible with a core 2 duo processor?

That can't be right. 1505 Draft-N works fine with my T7300.

That is a blatant LIE. I have a D630 with C2D T7500 and exactly this wireless card and it works flawlessly...
